Background

Mike was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in West Virginia.  He graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and minored in chemistry and communications.  After graduating Marshall University he attended Chicago-Kent College of Law and in 1999 received his Juris Doctor. “Having a finance degree and law degree helps me make responsible economic and sound legal decisions.”

Mike decided to further his educational endeavors and will graduate in May 2008 with a Masters of Law degree in Real Estate Law from the John Marshall Law School.  “I am very interested in real estate law and going back to school enables me to acquire the substantive knowledge and to develop the skills necessary to become a successful real estate attorney.”

Mike has been a licensed attorney in Illinois since 1999 representing individuals, small businesses and large fortune 500 companies in the following areas: banking, corporate transactions, commercial and residential real estate and commercial litigation.

Mike moved to Forest Park in 1996.  “I have been a member of the Forest Park community and resident for over 10 years.  I have seen Forest Park improve over the last 10 years and look forward to raising a family in Forest Park.”  Mike is a member of the Forest Park Zoning Board of Appeals and was appointed chairman in October 2004.  “As long as I am chairman of the ZBA everyone will have an opportunity to voice their concerns.”

In addition to being employed as an attorney, Mike enjoys volunteering, writing sports articles for a local paper, attending Marshall University football games and playing basketball.
